CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS for an EXHIBITION: “YOUNG ARTISTS 2016”

YOUTH (ages 12 to 19) are invited to submit artworks for an exhibition, using any medium (e.g., drawing, painting, photography, fibre arts, pottery, etc.).   AWARDS for best works!

  • Maximum sizes: Frames or canvas outside dimensions: 18 X 24 inches;
  • Pottery/sculpture: 12 w X 12 d X 18 inches high.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  Midnight, Saturday JULY 1st, 2017. You will be informed whether your work is accepted by email or phone as soon as possible.

DELIVERY OF WORK: No later than 5 p.m. FRIDAY, JULY 21.

EXHIBITION OPENS 10 a.m. SUNDAY, JULY 23 with RECEPTION from 1 – 3 p.m. Invite your family and friends. The show closes at 5 p.m. SATURDAY, JULY 29, 2017.   ART PICK UP: SUNDAY, JULY 30 by 5 p.m.

  • Photos of 1 or 2 of your artworks. Please label these if you can with your name and the title of the work; e.g., MarySMITH.Daisies).  These may be submitted: as CDs or as JPEGs by email attachments, maximum of 5.0 MB per emai.
  • Include your name, age, email address, and postal address.

Concerning the one or two pieces of art work you would like to submit, please let us know the Title of each work (piece #1 and #2), the medium you used (e.g. pencil, watercolour, coloured pencil, acrylic, marker, pottery, photo, rug hooking, sculpture, etc…., the size of each piece (e.g. 8″ x 10″), the year in which the work was completed, and whether or not it is for sale, and if so, the price you want for it.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS for an EXHIBITION – SMALL WONDERS 6 X 6 X 2017.

EXHIBITION GUIDELINES:

Established or emerging artists are invited to submit artworks in any medium for a juried exhibition.  Artwork must:

  • Measure exactly 6 inches by 6 inches. Work of other dimensions will not be accepted.
  • Be on a sturdy surface that can be wall hung (work on paper can be mounted on wood)
  • Be unframed and have a hanging device, wire or hooks with a ¼ inch (approx) opening (to accept S-hooks or picture hangers).

Note: The Mount Allison University Bookstore (62 York St, Sackville, N.B, ph 506-364-2267) carries 6 X 6 canvas and wood panel boards acceptable for this exhibition. Some dollar stores may carry similar products.

Please include Your name, email, postal address & phone number, A brief statement about yourself and your work (maximum of 4 sentences), Photos of not more than three (3) pieces of your work (Submit the photos as JPEG files). The total of all attachments is not to exceed 4 meg per email. Be sure to label each photo file with your name and the title of the image (e.g., MarySMITH.Daisies). If you do not have email access, you may post us a CD with your photos. Be sure to write your name on the CD and include a self addressed stamped envelope if you want the CD returned.

Please include a List of photos submitted indicating title, medium, size and year of completion of each work, and Indicate whether or not the pieces are to be for sale and the prices if they are for sale. The Gallery will take a 25% commission so adjust your price accordingly.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:  TUESDAY, AUGUST 1st; DELIVERY OF WORK: no later than 5 p.m. Friday August 25.  Mailed pieces must be sent in re-usable mailers with return postage included; EXHIBITION OPENS: SUNDAY, AUGUST 27 with reception from 1 to 3 p.m.  (Participants are encouraged to attend and to invite family & friends); EXHIBITION CLOSES: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 at 5 pm and PICKUP your WORK: Sunday, September 10 by 5 p.m.

ART ACROSS THE MARSH Studio Tour (This is also our closing weekend). Saturday & Sunday October 21st & 22nd from 10 to 5.
