CLASSES - offered by Gallery partners this summer

ACRYLIC PAINTING with Diana Vertis McIsaac. Adult Beginners – Mondays from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, July 4th to Sept 12th. $20 per class. Pre-registration required. Limited to 5 participants. Queries to Diana at vertis@seaside.ns.ca

HAND BUILT POTTERY (pinch, coil, slab, mold, freeform) with Melanie Landau. Choose two Thursday. sessions from 1:00 to 3:30 between July 7th & August 25th. A minimum of two sessions are needed to complete any work. $40 includes 2 sessions, materials and firings. No experience necessary. For children over 6 (with accompanying adult), youth & adults. Please pre-register each week. Class sizes are limited to 6 participants. Enquiries to Melanie at melanielandau@gmail.com.

POTTERY OPEN STUDIO - Thursday afternoons, 1 to 3:30, July 7th to August 25 th . $20 per session for materials and firing (2 pieces) for individuals with pottery experience. Please pre-register each week. Enquiries to Melanie at melanielandau@gmail.com..

NOVICE WATERCOLOUR CLASSES with Laurell Hamilton. Fridays 1:30 to 4:00 pm, July 8th to September 30th. $16 per class, supplies $4 (if needed). Please pre-register each week. Class limited to 6 Adults. Queries to Laurell at laurellhamilton24@gmail.com or to the Gallery.

SOFT PASTEL CLASSES with Barb King. 4 Saturday mornings 10:00 to 12:00, July 23 & 30 and August 6 & 3. $60 for 4 sessions. Supplies $20 or bring your own (supply list available). Please pre-register. Class limited to 6 participants. Queries to Barb at SaltyFogStudio@gmail.com or to the Gallery.


ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE. Saturday, July 16th from 10 to 5.

PRESENTATION: PICTORIALISM - THE EVOLUTION OF PHOTOGRAPHY AS AN ART FORM with Graham Jones, Photographer. Wednesday, August 24th at 7 pm. $10 which includes a donation to a Ukraine humanitarian charity.  Starting in the late 18th Century, the talk presents how art and photography have evolved since the invention of the first cameras. Numerous famous art and photographic images are used to present the story. The talk concludes with a look at the very latest technological/digital
advances that are dramatically affecting our everyday lives including art and photography. Please pre-register with the gallery.


ART ACROSS THE MARSH STUDIO TOUR. Which is also our CLOSING WEEKEND. Saturday & Sunday, October 15th & 16th. 10 am to 5 pm. Visit participating studios & galleries on both sides of the Tantramar Marsh in northern Nova Scotia and southern New Brunswick. GWEN DIXON, CAROL McCALL & KATE SHARPE. For the Birds: A Girl's Eye View. Fibre Arts. August 1 through 8. With their love of birds in mind, three female fiber artists use rug hooking, stitching, needle felting and wet felting to explore ideas of aging and identity, movement and migration, and to reflect on their memories of these winged wonders. Artists’ Reception Wednesday, August 3 from 2 to 4 pm.
